KAMPALA, 18 July 2026 (TON): At least 20 schoolchildren and one adult were killed after a school bus crashed in Uganda's Kapchorwa district, returning from an educational trip.
More than a dozen children and three adults were injured after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and overturned.
Following the accident, the Ugandan government suspended all school trips nationwide until further notice while authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.
