KABUL, 16 July 2026 (TON): Afghanistan and Iran have agreed to strengthen cooperation on standards and quality control during a meeting between Afghanistan's Standards and Quality Authority (ASQA) Director Mullah Abdullah Haji Bashir and the Iranian ambassador in Kabul.
The two sides discussed ways to improve bilateral trade by enhancing product standards, expanding exports, improving customs cooperation, and increasing coordination in areas such as industry, health, and quality certification.
At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive engagement, expanding specialized cooperation, and making better use of existing resources to strengthen trade and economic relations.
