HANOI, 18 July 2026 (TON): Flash floods caused by heavy rainfall killed at least four people and left four others missing in Vietnam's northern Lai Chau province, state media reported.
Seven people were injured after floodwaters swept through a mountainous village, damaging roads and covering the area with mud, rocks, and fallen trees.
Vietnam frequently experiences deadly floods during the rainy season, with authorities continuing search and rescue operations in the affected region.
