NEW DELHI, 9 July 2026 (TON): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during his official visit to Australia as part of his three-nation tour.
The two leaders announced the completion of arrangements allowing uranium exports from Australia to India under their civil nuclear cooperation framework. They also launched the India-Australia Partnership on Cyber, Critical Technologies and Supply Chains (PACTS), aimed at expanding cooperation in strategic sectors.
According to the Australian government, the new initiatives are intended to strengthen bilateral ties in energy security, technology and supply chain resilience.
