NEW DELHI, June 27, 2026 (TON): Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will visit India from July 1 to 3 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the 16th Japan-India Annual Summit in New Delhi.
This will be Takaichi's first visit to India as Prime Minister. The summit is expected to strengthen ties between Japan and India. Both leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
