Punjab to get $47.9 million grant from World Bank to enhance education

LAHORE, 25 AUGUST 2025 (TON): As part of Global Partnership for Education Fund to boost early education participation reintegrate out of school children into the educational system and strengthen provisions for children with disabilities. The funding will be utilized by over 4 million children including those in pre-primary and primary education.

According to a statement from the World Bank, the project will directly assist 80,000 out of school children and 140,000 children with disabilities.

The project will also focus on training and professional development for 100,000 teachers and school leaders, enhancing the over all quality of education.
