The outgoing Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi visited Headquarter Northern Command, Udhampur on 10th June and cautioned Lieutenant General Balbir Singh, Commander 15 Corps, Srinagar and Lieutenant General P. K Mishra, Commander 16 Corps, Jammu fragile security situation on Line of Control (LoC). Surprisingly some elements from the Eastern Command were ordered to move under formations of Northern Command who along with elements ex15 and 16 Crops moved to new positions to maintain high state of combat readiness. Not specifically mentioning the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, India Chief of Army Staff disclosed, “we might launch Operation Sindoor Version 2.0 very soon”. He pointed out that the situation has drastically changed in Indian part of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh after post-operation planned extensive movements of local Kashmiris. Although top-level military shuffle has taken place including appointment of Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth as the new Army Chief, there will be no change and previous operation orders.
In another development Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai who was Director General Military Operations (DGMO) during Op Sindoor has been appointed as military advisor to the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), directly under Ajit Doval to implement operational plan. Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, who has held the same post since 2023 disclosed that tri-services is planning a joint drill to target within Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as well as across with the coordination of Pakistani side. As a result of operations in Pakistani side, the Kashmiri would also be killed in the Indian side. Interestingly, he also disclosed that earlier Indian agencies reported conspiracy of a united Kashmir to jointly struggle for statehood and independence. The information could not be confirmed from independent sources but some Iranian at IKMT in Kargil and Sikh and Hindu Pandits elsewhere will be targeted by Indian agencies to give a final deathblow to Kashmiris’ struggle for their right of self-determination.
Meanwhile, New Delhi has planned to use Shri Amarnath Yatra (from 3rd July to 28th August 2026) as sympathy card, by creating artificially triggered acts of terrorism to attract attention of international community. The ongoing counter-terrorism operations are being carried with coordination of foreign advisors, where Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma is major planner of Israeli-style operations under the prevailing security environment across Jammu and Kashmir. A well-written video to dramatize-operation got approved in which Indian forces would carryout joint action to neutralize the Kashmiris, showing them as terrorists who infiltrated from across the LoC and in direct communication with handlers in Pakistan. The UNO and human rights organizations must intervene and prevent over two month long live hunt, genocide and other atrocities against Kashmiris on both side of LoC.
