A man set himself on fire outside UN’s headquarters

WASHINGTON D.C 3 July 2026 (TON): According to police A man named Lobga Rangzen, died after setting himself on fire outside the UN's headquarters in New York on Thursday. US media and a pro-Tibet activist said the he was a pro-Tibet campaigner, though this is an unconfirmed claim.

President of the International Campaign for Tibet said that “ Lobga was a tireless advocate for Tibet who devoted himself to peacefully raising awareness of the human rights crisis in Tibet”.

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres offered his condolences to the family of Lobga and said that he is saddened by this tragic incident.

It is on record that British destroyed centuries old boundaries and state that existed around the world. Now many nations have identity issues.
