COPENHAGEN, 9 July 2026 (TON): Denmark has rejected renewed remarks by US President Donald Trump suggesting the United States should take control of Greenland.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Greenland is not for sale and reaffirmed the island's right to self-determination. She also urged all allies to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Denmark and Greenland. The remarks came ahead of a meeting of NATO leaders in Turkey.
