KYIV, 18 July 2026 (TON): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine wants stronger and more respectful relations with Poland following recent tensions over historical and military issues.
Zelensky thanked Poland for its support since Russia's 2022 invasion and announced new diplomatic steps, including greater access to historical records and efforts to continue dialogue on sensitive wartime issues.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk welcomed the move, saying both countries are ready for constructive discussions despite their differences.
