BRUSSELS, 25 July 2026 (TON): Belgian authorities have arrested a Canadian woman of Chinese origin on suspicion of spying on behalf of a third country, according to the federal prosecutor.
The suspect previously worked as an intern at SHAPE, NATO's military headquarters in Mons, Belgium. Prosecutors also accused her of being a member of a criminal organization.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not released further details about the alleged espionage activities.
