JAKARTA, 7 July 2026 (TON): Indonesia is set to acquire BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles and Astra air-to-air missiles from India under a defence agreement reportedly worth around $630 million.
The development coincides with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jakarta, where he received a grand ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Palace.
The visit is expected to reinforce defence cooperation, expand strategic partnerships and enhance bilateral ties as both countries seek closer collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region
