CHICAGO, 7 SEPTEMBER 2025, (TON): Sept 6 (Reuters) Thousand of demonstrators marched through the streets of the city and assembled at Trump Tower at the sunset on Saturday, protesting US President Donald Trump’s threats to flood the city with Federal immigration agents.

Meanwhile, some protester welcomed earlier statement of Vice President JD Vance when he said, “there were no immediate plans"… protesters’ comments appearing on social media reflected. However, conflicting reports suggests that earlier suggestion of possibility of deploying troops in Chicago, Maryland and Louisiana has been postponed but same could not be confirmed from concerned authorities.

One protester on the condition of anonymity said, “We would not allow this time what was done with German Jew and original inhabitants of present-day USA.” Another protesters blamed President Trump that his campaign to invade Chicago is to defeat solidarity of people of Chicago and other states with the Palestinians”.

The protesters claimed that we are diversified nationalities living in the US, representing different cultures and traditions but we are scared that such coercive actions would destroy America.

There is no new further developments at the Naval Station Great Lakes and other installations as no fresh activity of Federal forces including the Marines, personnel from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) oversees agencies, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) could be witnessed.
